Terms & Conditions

Catering Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all catering services provided by Law's Kitchen to the client. By placing an order or signing a catering agreement, the Client agrees to the following terms.

1. Booking & Deposits

  • A signed agreement and deposit are required to secure the event date.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Event dates are not guaranteed until the deposit has been received and confirmed.

  • Final payment must be made no later than 3 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed.

2. Final Guest Count

  • The Client must provide a final guest count no later than 3 days before the event.

  • This count will be considered guaranteed and used for billing purposes.

  • Increases in guest count after the deadline may be accommodated based on availability and may incur additional charges.

3. Payments

  • Full payment is due according to the payment schedule outlined in the catering agreement.

  • Accepted payment methods include: Cash, Zelle, Cashapp, Debit, Credit

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made within 3 days of the event may be subject to additional charges, including the cost of purchased food, labor, rentals, and other event-related expenses.

5. Changes to Orders

  • Menu changes, service modifications, and other event adjustments must be requested in writing.

  • Changes requested after the finalization deadline may not be accommodated and may result in additional charges.

6. Food Safety

  • The Caterer follows all applicable food safety regulations.

  • Food quality can only be guaranteed during the service period specified in the agreement.

  • The Caterer is not responsible for food that is stored, transported, or served by anyone other than its staff after delivery or service completion.

7. Delivery & Setup

  • Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, traffic, venue access, or circumstances beyond the Caterer's control.

  • The Client is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring access to the venue.

  • Additional fees may apply for extended setup times, stairs, remote locations, or special access requirements.

8. Equipment

  • Any rented equipment, serving pieces, linens, chafing dishes, or other items remain the property of the Caterer or rental provider.

  • The Client is responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or excessive cleaning costs related to rented items.

  • Replacement costs will be charged to the Client as necessary.

9. Venue Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for securing all necessary venue permissions, permits, and approvals.

  • Adequate access to electricity, water, parking, and workspace must be provided when required.

  • Additional labor charges may apply if venue conditions significantly impact service.

10. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

  • The Client must notify the Caterer of any known food allergies or dietary restrictions before the event.

  • While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate special dietary needs, the Caterer cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

  • Cross-contact may occur despite precautions.

11. Alcohol Service

  • If alcohol is served, all applicable laws and regulations must be followed.

  • The Caterer reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated or who cannot provide valid identification when required.

  • The Client is responsible for obtaining any permits or licenses required by law unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Liability

  • The Caterer's liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the event.

  • The Caterer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

  • The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Caterer from claims arising from the Client's negligence, venue conditions, or actions of guests.

13. Force Majeure

  • The Caterer shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, power outages, transportation disruptions, pandemics, or other emergencies.

14. Photography & Marketing

  • Unless otherwise requested in writing, the Caterer may photograph food displays, event setups, and related materials for promotional and marketing purposes.

  • No personal identifying information of guests will be used without permission.

15. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the Caterer operates.

16. Entire Agreement

  • These Terms & Conditions, together with any catering agreement, proposal, invoice, or written addendum, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions or understandings.
